Health & Human Services - Overview

The Point Group has extensive experience assisting state and local human service providers across the nation. Our efforts have included the review and analysis of major technology project. These efforts include working with major integrators, vendors and state agencies; procurement management; independent validation & varification (IV&V) to assess progress and project status; and developing recommendations for completing the projects and/or getting projects back on track.

We understand that the biggest challenges facing Human Services Administrators frequently have very little to do with technology. More often, navigating the politics involved in implementing policies and procedures is far more complicated. That's where our experience comes in. Health & Human Service Experience

The Point Group has performed policy and programmatic research and review, project management, and Independent Verification and Validations (IV&V) services for a number of health and human service clients across the nation. For example, we have:

• Performed oversight and management coordination and reviews of service providers and organizations in large, multi-jurisdiction states;
• Developed and managed complex research projects using advanced methodologies and comprehensive data collection instruments and technologies;
• Conducted face-to-face and telephone interviews within multiple segments of research population using data collection survey instruments;
• Identified, located, and interviewed collateral contacts based on initial interviews;
• Conducted detailed clinical and programmatic review of case specific files;
• Collected, compiled, analyzed, and prepared summary and detailed reports on findings of research;
• Developed and implemented effective communication and education programs which required the creation of collateral materials and conducting pre-review briefings designed to inform and involve providers and other stakeholders who may be impacted by the results of the review;
• Designed and monitored complex work plans and project timelines, required to coordinate and complete research and review projects by established deadlines;
• Provided IV&V services on a large multi-jurisdictional application development projects.
